Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 4 qt. water
  • 1 can carrots
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 pkg. frozen spinach
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 3/4 c. quick barley
  • 2 T. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 sm. onion
Directions Brown meat, add seasonings. In large pot add meat, tomato juice, tomato paste, water, carrots, green beans, frozen spinach, potatoes, barley and onion. Bring to a boil; then simmer 1 hour.
