Ingredients
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 3/4 c. applesauce
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c. sliced apples
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
Directions Blend together oil, applesauce, sugar and eggs. Add baking soda, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix altogether. Then add flour and nuts. Stir in apples last. Batter will be stiff. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. When cool dust with powdered sugar or serve with whip cream.
