7 LAYER SALAD

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 heads of shredded lettuce
  • 2 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 10 oz. pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
  • 1 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 T. sugar
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Directions In a 9x13 pan put in 2/3 of lettuce. On top of this put in a layer of celery, green pepper, onion and the peas. Then another layer of lettuce. Dot all over with the mayonnaise. Sprinkle with the sugar and the parmesan cheese. Sprinkle bacon pieces all over. Set in a refrigerator overnight before serving. Serves 12-15.
